With the support of the Lagos SUBEB (State Universal Basic Education Board), The Yes, We Are Winning Foundation embarked on the 2021 edition of the Project 555, a scholarship and mentorship program of the foundation. The event which include distribution of school kits to primary, Junior and Senior secondary schools was carried out in the Kosofe LCDA in Lagos State. A total of 63 beneficiaries selected from 10 schools joined 16 students from the over 50 beneficiaries selected in 2019, to receive this kits in the presence of their parents and teachers. Many of the past beneficiaries have completed their high schools and some were enrolled into vocational schools for relevant skills of their choice. The foundation has also extended scholarships to a number of students in Tertiary institutions as well as provide funding to out-of-school children.
As part of her Education and Empowerment initiatives, The Yes, We Are Winning Foundation through the PROJECT 555 provides educational aids and scholarship to out-of-school children, especially from less privileged homes. The beneficiaries of the scholarship who are selected from some communities are provided these educational kits every academic sessions till they graduate out of the high school.
Also, each year, more students are selected from various schools and added to the scheme. The aim is to mentor and empower students with relevant skills that would aid their academic performance and career development.
