Sometime when you think God will use you to change a situation, He ends up using the situation to change you and upgrade you to the latest version of you.Certain difficulties are designed to improve our lives. And our attitude to such trying times either makes or mar us.
For instance, He made the children of Israel to walk through the wilderness for 40 years so he can remove unbelief from them and train them to trust him. God led them on for those forty years in the wilderness, pushing them to their limits, testing them so that he would know what they were made of. “He put you through hard times. He made you go hungry. Then he fed you with manna, something neither you nor your parents knew anything about, so you would learn that men and women don’t live by bread only; we live by every word that comes from God ’s Mouth” (Deuteronomy 8:3).
Unpleasant situations may be God’s tool to align your destiny and magnify His purpose in you! Like the Israelites, He may want to clean your closet of pride, self dependency, faithlessness and fear, and the lies satan has told you about who you are in relation to God.

At such times, you may experience some delays or disappointments, it does not mean that God careless about your needs, but your character development is more important to Him. And when He’s through with you, you become a better person, upgraded and updated! Therefore, do not despair, you are not abandoned!

Can you perceive an obnoxious smell coming from your direction? Does it smell like a rotten garbage or a treated sewage? Perhaps, if you can discern carefully, you should know what smell it is. Oh, now you realize that it is coming from the direction of your closet? Sure, it should be your closet skeleton! Yes, not your unwashed clothes, or dirty shoes, but it is the stench of bitterness, grieve, hatred and un-forgiveness that lies in your heart that is making you feel unpleasant and unworthy.
Bitterness, fears, worries, or self-centeredness, and even doubts has a way of denting our self-image, and making our lives look unattractive to ourselves and others. These attitudes are the skeletons in your closet that has kept you stagnant in life.
My friend, be honest! No economic recession or difficult environmental circumstances can stop a man who is determined to succeed! Therefore, the reason for the hardship you experience may not be unconnected with your unpleasant attitude and unloving relationships. Attitude determines how far you can go. Your attitude is like a price tag, it shows how valuable you are.
A bad attitude is like a flat tire. If you don’t change it, you will never go anywhere! Therefore, in order to move forward, you must be willing to give up your bitterness and past regrets and go on towards a better tomorrow.
Ultimately, it is only God who can truly change a man inside out, and bring the best out of him. According to Joren Kierkegaard, “Prayers does not change God but it changes him who prays.” We have to trust God enough to allow Him come in and plow our lives. Perhaps, He needs to root our the closet skeletons and replace them with new attitudes.
Then, you can say like the Psalmist, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me…” (Psalm 23:4). Clean your closet, change your attitude! Don’t let your past get in the way of your future! You’re winning! Yes, we are winning!

So much accusations, counter-accusations, criticisms, and queries have trailed the cancellation of the planned February 6th ‘One voice Nigeria’ protest, by Tuface Idibia. Some said he is a coward, attempting what he couldn’t not finished, while others says he’s wise to have called off the anticipated anti-government match, for which millions of Nigerians had geared up for. It is noteworthy that the security agencies advised against the Nationwide protest alleging that it potends serious security threats, as it might be hijacked by interests not aligned with the purpose of the protest.
Whatever your opinion is, take a moment to look within yourself: how many times have you given up on your quest for success in the face of ridicules, and challenges? Has the cold winds of opposition not banked the fire in you and your dreams crushed!? Have you not buried your potential because of criticism, which consequently made you adopt a mediocre lifestyle? Think deeply, you may be the coward Lion!
Yes, “It is okay to be scared sometimes. Courage is the ability to face your fears not hide them.” I challenge you to rekindle your desire to achieve whatever God has promised you. No one can ignite in you what you don’t possess. You need that continued spark for excellence to overcome all the blight of being ostracized. Don’t lose your fire! You can still succeed! You’re winning! Yes, we are winning!

Abraham and Sarah are epitome of godliness and faith. As a result of their obedience to God, the covenanted blessings of Abraham are passed on to the generations of those who love and fear God. Apostle Peter, in his admonition to the christian couples about godly lifestyle, counseled the woman, “…you will be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated (1Peter 3:1).

Likewise, if you can cultivate an inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in, and you pursue only things that have eternal values, and rewards, then you are Sarah’s daughter, or Abraham’s son. You are Sarah’s daughter and Abraham’s son when you are not afraid with any amazement, unanxious and unintimated by life challenges. If you can stay calm in the storms of life, and you can praise God under intense pressure, or threat to life. And if you can worship God in the midst of critics and criticism, then, you are Sarah’s daughter, and you are a son Abraham.

If you resist the temptation to react to circumstances and maintain a peaceful, meek and quiet spirit in times of frustration, then ur Sarah’s daughter. If you can keep a calm head when the bills are more than the income, nd you do not loose control when satan says you won’t make it. Instead, with a persistent faith and and absolute reliance on God’s promises, you pursue your goals with unflinching determination, then you are Sarah’s Daughter, or Abraham’s son.
If you can rebuke the devil that is knocking at the door of your heart, and tell that low self-esteem it cannot come in. Instead, you rebuke all the spirits that are waiting to attack you, and make you captive, and you declare by faith, that you can, and will succeed! Yes, if you can stand there and push a tear from off the side of your face and smile in the middle of the rain, you’re Sarah’s daughter; you’re Abraham’s son. Therefore, as long as you do well, and you are not afraid with any amazement, then you are winning! Yes, we are winning!

Why are you holding on so tight!? Lay it down! Lay down the worries that lurks within your mind, and beclouds your ability to make right judgments. Lay down the garment of heaviness that has made your life so uninteresting. The quicker you release the hurts inside you the quicker you would experience divine peace that surpasses all human understanding. Perhaps, the unforgiving attitude is the reason why it has been difficult for you to move forward, since you are also in bondage with the person you refuse to forgive.
I know you have got your problems because everybody is got them. Yes, we all have seasons when we are ca
ught up in a feeling -doubts, faith, fear, sorrow, and what have you. Likewise, we have reasons to never allow negative emotions to weigh us down. Our maker has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). His promises are Yes, and Amen in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 1:20). “So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” James 4: 7-10.
I hope you know that all the problems you are worrying about can keep you from living now, and the reason it is a worry is because you can’t handle it on your own. Therefore, do well to shake them off and lay them down at the cross where your freedom is found! To those who would rely on Him, God has promised to give bouquets of roses instead of ashes, message of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit (Isaiah 61:3). Just hold on to the promises God has made to you, it is the only sure hope. Yes, you can still stand up straight. You can move on no matter where you are at the moment. Be strong and don’t give up, and pray when you feel afraid.
The story is far from over! I see His glory unfolding in this new month. When you let go God will take control! “So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; He’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.” Hold on to Him! Even In the middle of the storm, hold on! Let this be your resurrection song. Let this be your Hallelujah tune. Shake them off and Put on a new garment! You’re winning! Yes, we are winning!
Welcome to February!
