PROJECT 555 – 2026

Project 555 was successfully held from 28 September to 7 October 2026 to support indigent, out-of-school, and underperforming pupils through mentorship, educational resources, and essential school materials. The initiative reached over 80 students across six schools in Lagos State, providing textbooks, writing materials, school uniforms, shoes, and socks to support learning and improve educational opportunities.
The outreach featured school visits, needs assessments, mentorship sessions, parental sensitisation, and guidance sessions. The team engaged school principals, head teachers, teachers, counsellors, parents, and guardians to identify students’ needs and promote the importance of education. The project also extended its outreach to additional beneficiaries while sustaining support for existing ones.
As part of YWAW Foundation’s 10th anniversary celebration, interviews were conducted with the project financier, a SUBEB representative, and the Foundation’s Executive Director.
The project recorded increased participation from volunteers, teachers, parents, and representatives, alongside strong support from financiers. Despite challenges arising from underestimated budget costs, Project 555 demonstrated the impact of collaborative efforts in supporting children’s education.
Moving forward, YWAW Foundation aims to expand its reach through community representatives, strengthen beneficiary impact tracking, increase active team and board membership, and attract more donors to sustain its educational initiatives.
