Volunteer Social Media Manager Job Description

Volunteer as a Social Media Manager and help keep the YWAW community up-to date and connected.

Time commitment: 5-6 hours a month Dates of service: Minimum of 2 years

Summary

We are seeking a volunteer Social Media Manager for the YWAW foundation to keep the YWAW updated on Current/relevant HR information and events.

During a regular week, you will promote the newsletter and other requested content by scheduling/posting social media posts 4-7 posts a week on our platforms Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn Group. All the tasks are remote and can be done from anywhere with your computer.

The Executive Committee will meet remotely once a month. Our committee also likes to meet in person quarterly, and we will work with your schedule.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide social media posting assistance to the YWAW team. Posting all upcoming events and articles on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Prepare social media posts highlighting YWAW newsletter, YWAW partner events, volunteer opportunities and more.
  • Grow social media base of followers by following best practices in social media.
  • Create and maintain social media content calendar in conjunction with the event calendar.
  • Work closely with the project director to promote YWAW content.
  • Work with the YWAW Project 555 team to market the scholarship program on social media.
  • Other tasks as requested by the President.

Qualifications:

A financial director for a voluntary group plays a critical role on any group committee as a voluntary group financial director you will be responsible for these kinds of tasks.

The financial director serves as the financial officer. If the organization has a finance committee, the Financial Director (FD) is its chairperson. The FD applies his knowledge of accounting to monitor finances, while directing the preparation of financial reports and summarizing the reports for the board.

The FD works with other board officers and the CEO to develop financial plans and prepare the organization’s budget. Key role and responsibilities

Finance Volunteer Job Description

  • Managing financial transactions both online and in person at the bank.
  • Deal with internal & external financial queries
  • Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business department
  • Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
  • Ensure that all of the company’s financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
  • Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
  • Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in accounting

  • Prior experience or familiarity with NGO sector would be an advantage
  • Prior international experience would be an advantage
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize projects and tasks effectively; self-starter; takes initiative
  • Problem solver, able to identify needs, and develop solutions

Volunteer Project Director Job Description

Volunteer as a Project Directorand help keep the YWAW community strategize and implement social and humanitarian services.

Time commitment: 7-8hours a month Dates of service: Minimum of 2 years

Summary

We are seeking a Project Director for the YWAW foundation who shall be responsible for overseeing all aspects of how a project is planned, unfolds and is managed. This includes developing an overview of the approach, assigning team members to various responsibilities, setting goals and developing timelines and ensuring all elements of a project are progressing on time and on budget as anticipated.

If something goes awry, a project administrator is responsible for troubleshooting issues, revamping timelines, giving status reports to higher-ups and making changes as necessary to ensure the project progresses. A project administrator may have more than one project assistant, particularly if multiple projects are managed simultaneously or if the project in question is ongoing and long-term in nature.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research, drafting reports, keeping project management tracking systems updated and fielding calls and managing correspondence from projectteam members.
  • Handle administrative functions, such as planning meetings, performing outreach, tracking budgets and overseeing the minute details associated with complex task tracking. Project assistants may work in concert with project managers or other assistants to ensure smooth and timely project
  • Devise and deliver a tailored development programme for volunteers who are interested in taking a lead role in their local area and becoming a Volunteer Organiser.
  • Develop national strategies to market and promote the role of Volunteer Organisers, identifying geographical areas of greatest need and concentrating resources accordingly.
  • Further develop partnerships with NGOs and other relevant organisations to promote the role of Volunteer Organiser regionally.
  • Work with Regional Project Coordinators to identify potential volunteers who can help to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the programme on a local level and work with individuals to further develop their role.
  • Coordinate the recording of information, training materials and events, ensuring a tangible record of activities undertaken, is available to the project management group.
  • Network with a range of local organisations to promote and publicise the programme and developing good joint working relationships through regular contact.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment, development and training and provide up to date information

What does a public relations officer do?
